Ramadan is a month in the Islamic calendar (Hijri calendar), also known as the lunar calendar. It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims because the Prophete Mohammad received his first verse and surah of the Holy Quran.

Greetings before Ramadan 2022 starts

Ramadan is expected to start on the 2nd of April 2022. There are two different phrases that you can say to welcome the beginning of the holy month. You can use the words, Kareem or Mubarak. The meaning of Ramadan Kareem (رمضان كريم) is to wish someone a generous Ramadan. On the other hand, some people like to say Ramadan Mubarak (رمضان مبارك) to wish someone a blessed Ramadan. There is a slight difference between these two greetings, but you can use both expressions. Remember that you should only use Ramadan Mubarak or Kareem wishes at the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
